We offer returns and exchanges within 60 days of receiving your order. You can return your item and receive a refund to the original payment method or exchange your item for something new.

Please note: When returning an item, a $6 return shipping fee will apply. Consumables are not eligible for returns. We do not accept returns on personalized items. If you typed your personalization incorrectly, please let us know within 7 days of receiving the item and we will send you a one-time code for 50% off this item so you can reorder.

What’s the difference between the Essential and the Slim leash?
The Essential leash is 1” wide and comes in a 4 ft and a 6 ft option, and comes with a Tidy Tag poop bag holder. The Slim leash is thinner at 5/8” and has no Tidy Tag. Both withstand the same amount of pull force and are designed for strong pullers. Owners with smaller dogs may prefer the Slim leash as it’s more lightweight.

What is a traffic handle?
The traffic handle is closer to the clip you would use this handle when you need your dog to be close to you and by your side. It’s especially convenient for training and city/sidewalk use and for encounters where you would need to quickly get control of your dog.

We stand behind our leash and hope you and your dog love using it! That’s why we offer a one-year warranty to replace your leash if defective. Our warranty does not include:
- Damage from chewing
- Lost or stolen
- Exhibiting normal wear and tear, including fading
- Items that were donated, sponsored, or given as a free promotion
- Intentional damage
- Damage caused by human error
- Items that are simply dirty
- Replacement items provided under this guarantee. To exercise your warranty, please contact store-help@rover.com. You can also return or exchange your leash for any reason within 60 days of purchasing—just be sure it’s in new condition, with the original packaging, and that you return it where you purchased it from.

Important exception: We can’t offer refunds or exchanges for a leash a dog has chewed on. While the Essential Dog Walking Leash is durable, no leash is chewproof and we’re unable to accept returns in these cases.
