FAQ - EzyDog Quick Fit Harness

Is this harness gentler on the dog’s neck area than other harnesses or collars?

When adjusted properly, this harness actually doesn’t touch the neck area at all. So yes! This is a good option for dogs with neck sensitivity since it sits more across the upper chest.

How does the hook-and-loop closure stay closed?

There’s a neoprene sleeve that covers the hook-and-loop closure on the strap in front of the dog’s chest. Once you have the harness fully adjusted, this sleeve keeps everything in place and helps prevent chafing or discomfort.

How do I wash this harness?

The best way to clean it is by hand washing in cool soapy water, making sure to use a mild detergent. Once it’s clean, hang it to dry. Putting it in a washing machine may change the shape and alter the fit of the harness, so we don’t recommend it.

Can I adjust both of the straps?

Absolutely, just slide the neoprene sleeve over and adjust the fit with the hook-and-loop closure. You can also adjust the belly strap for a better fit.

How can I keep my dog from chewing on their harness?

The best thing you can do to prevent chewing is to ensure a proper fit. You should only be able to fit a maximum of two fingers between the harness and your dog’s body all the way around. To get a snug fit like this start with by adjusting the belly strap. Then fit the chest strap by moving the neoprene sleeve aside and adjusting the hook-and-loop closure there, making sure the red safety patch is hidden.

Will this harness chafe my dog’s armpits?

This harness has buckles that sit outside of the armpit area to prevent chafing.

What kind of buckle does this harness have?

It features a quick-clip buckle system that is both heavy duty and secure while also being super fast and easy to put on or take off. The steel D-ring is welded for durability and rustproof for added peace of mind.

Is the back strap safe to use as a handle?

While you shouldn’t pick your dog up off the ground completely this way, the back strap makes a great handle to help older dogs up or down steps or in and out of a car.
